How to use custom permalink for blogspot blogs
A Permalink is a very important remarkable option that Blogger exhibits. For best practices in SEO each of your blog post URL should contain the keywords that you are target. When you create any new post and then publish Blog post the URL (permalink) will be automatic generated by Blogger. For example you create a post “add the post URL in Blogger” and Blogger generates the URL like this “blog.blogspot.com/2015/02/add-the-post-url-in-blogger.html”.
But the main problem is the automatically generated URL are very long. Or they may or may not be user or seo friendly. There for many blogger or SEO prefer custom permalinks to automatic ones. How to Change the Blog Post URL in Blogger
Let us say you have created a blog post and edited the post URL several months before.if you are about to publish a new post then you can change the blog post easily without any additional steps.
- Login into Blogger account.
- After login click the new post write some text .
- Change the Blog post URL in Blogger just drop down the post setting next below to publish button .
- Click the Links in right side and then selected the ‘Custom Permalink’. And write your keywords as i show in the below picture. Leave the ‘Title Link’ and ‘Enclosure Link’ as blank and finally click ‘Done’.
- Use “ – “in middle of the words instead of leaving spaces.
- At Least you have successfully created your own URL by using the custom permalinks feature.
You can also use this custom permalink feature for your old posts .if you want to improve your site seo performance. Then try this custom permalinks for your old posts too as this may helps your old posts to get re-indexing in top positions on search engine.
