How to Publish your First Post in Wordpress - ibuildblog

Wordpress has displayed your blog posts on your home page. Posts are which can dynamically change, means you can publish regularly post according to your interest. Here given below to steps  publish your first post in WordPress

• First, step,Login into your WordPress blog.

• Click the post link in the left sidebar of the dashboard. The menu will be pop up and then click on a new post in that menu.

• New post dialogue box is appearing first you enter the heading of the post in the first line.

 

• After that enter the blog title you can insert blog content into WYSIWYG editor. It has two tabs – Visual ( use the editor to format your text ) and Text ( where you can insert HTML code directly).
• Now next step if you can insert media like images or videos in the post then select Add Mediator on the left text are given to add the content to your post.

 

• After selecting Add media next window will appear, it will show some box to uploaded any new image from your system by clicking “upload files”.

• After upload image, you can select insert into Post Button.
• Now you can create the category of the post from the right sidebar of the dashboard, you can add the new category by selecting Add New Category.

• Write tags of related to your post on the sidebar. You can choose multiple tags for the single post.

• Next step to add comment option in your post, for this you can select screen option and a pop window will appear.

• Select the discussion option from the window.
• Now move down the screen and a discussion box will appear, select the allow comments and allow trackbacks and pingbacks on this page.

• Next, below you can select to change the layout for your post such as no sidebar, full width, one column, left sidebar, right sidebar.

• Now after writing the content in the post you can select “preview”on the top right of the dashboard. It will show you a preview of your post.
• If you don’t select the post your wish to delete the post, for this click on ‘Move to trash" option given on the bottom left the corner of publish window. 

• Finally, if you preview everything is ok the last step to publish the post on your website, click on publish button on publish window.
